Based in Chicago, the Les Turner ALS Foundation (“the Foundation”), is a recognized leader in ALS research, patient care, and education. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease. The Foundation provides individualized care, local community support, and advances early-stage scientific discovery. It is one of the nation’s oldest, independent ALS organizations and is a leader in building visibility for the disease locally, regionally, and nationally.  Since inception, the Foundation has raised more than $100 million - directly and indirectly – to advance the fight against ALS. 

About the Position
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Development Officer (CDO) is the strategic leader and driver of the Foundation’s next phase of philanthropic growth. This role offers the opportunity to leverage strong momentum and lead a modern, integrated fundraising program that expands revenue, deepens donor engagement, and elevates the organization’s national profile.  As a lean, high-impact organization, the Foundation requires a CDO who operates seamlessly at both strategic and execution levels. The CDO will personally manage key relationships, advance solicitations, and ensure consistent execution across all development functions.

Pet Alliance is a mission driven 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to educating, sheltering, placing, and healing pets and their families with compassionate, responsible care maintained to the highest professional standards.   Founded close to 90 years ago, Pet Alliance, with three facilities in Central Florida, is a managed intake organization.   Pet Alliance has an operating budget of approximately $6 million and is supported by dedicated staff and over 800 volunteers.  It is well-respected in the community, and has a strong, growing donor base.  

About the Position
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer provides inspirational, values-driven leadership and strategic direction for Central Florida’s leading animal welfare organization. The CEO holds overall responsibility for mission advancement, organizational health, financial sustainability, and community impact across multiple locations.
